Stop Doggin' Me! (week 12)

A dog is an important member of many American families. The dog plays with the children, goes on family outing, and usually greets anyone who comes to visit with a wagging tail. But what if that dog gets rabies? Does the family still allow it to play with the children and have the run of the house? Of course not. The disease affects the relationship the dog once had with the family, and in most cases the animal will be put to death. Does the presence of this disease mean that the family no longer loves the dog? Once again, the answer is "no".

You and I have a fatal disease that affects our relationship with our Master. It's called sin. Its effects will result in our spiritual death, but Jesus came to die in our place and to end the threat of our disease. We can have a relationship with God and His family because of the sacrifice of Jesus.

Read 2 Corinthians 5 : 20.

Thank Jesus now for replacing your death with His own and for placing His life into your life. Have a moment of quiet time with Him and pray for forgiveness of your sins. Let His sacrifice to be remember not only for today but in everyday of your life.
